As always it is a yes no answer for me but mostly no. I have a pair of deer skin gloves in my Fiat but I wear them only for top down runs in cooler weather. The stock 79 Fiat steering wheel is thickly padded but earlier ones are thinner and hard. I would likely wear them more often with the older style or a Momo.

I've got a thick wheel in my 124 Coupe that I picked up years ago while touring Europe. It deserves gloves, the gloves just complete the feel. My X1/9 has a Momo Monte Carlo in it. I have a perception issue here, I feel odd using gloves in a modern car. Anyone want to do a psychoanalysis of that? Of course I too am a practical man, and when the top is off and it's cold out, screw it...the gloves go on.

I wear them when it is cold. I wear them when it is hot on a long top down drive to prevent sunburn. reference:Austin Healey 3000

I swear gloves when it's cold. Once in a blue moon I'll wear some cycling full-fingers gloves I wear when mtn biking (a hold-over from my DH racing days, on the road I wear none, although I probably should...)
