I didn't like them back in the day, always thought the tail looked like the designers went on holiday just before the tooling had to be made. Anyway, I dig 'em now and I believe the planets are aligned for me to get one.

i've driven old cars all my life, so i believe my expectations of the driving experience are realistic. if i was looking for an E92 sport package car, i'd be looking at E92 sport package cars. i want something cool, unusual, and drivable.

i need to know about parts availability / interchange with later models, bolt-on upgrades (if any are available), etc.

thanks! PC

I would check out mye28.com to start.

I believe many parts interchange with later e28's and also the e30, except for certain body panels etc. If I can find parts for a rare Alfa sedan, you can find e12 parts. Don't let that deter you, look at is as part of the fun and the challenge.

I've always liked the e28 and I'm with you, the e12 looked funny to me in the past, but has come into it's own more recently as a slightly more svelte version.

Good luck with your hunt!
