My classic Mini has been down at my buddy's shop for about 6 months now while he repainted it. He has a full time job so this is just something he does for fun money and I was prepared for the long wait to get it home again.
Yesterday a friend and I took my 2009 MINI Clubman S down to Tulsa town to pick it up, about a 4 hour drive one way. I flat tow the car and the Clubby handles it easily.
Super happy with his work, not only do all the parts match, the paint is metallic BRG and really sparkles in the sun - it also feels as smooth as glass!
Today I see on Facebook where someone posted a short video of us as we cruised past them - Mini in tow - on the highway headed home! A number of local folks recognized my car and posted about it (unfortunately it's on a "members only" Facebook Page) Also unfortunately - about an hour from home the turbo boost on the 09 Clubman S went away. We made it home OK, and the car is now safely in my shop. I have yet to figure out what's wrong with the Clubby, I get to look at it tomorrow.......
