My grandson's Cub Scout troop is going to let adults build and participate in their next Pine Wood Derby.

I need Mr. Brock's help in designing a winning car.  Kamm Effect?

You know, a mini Daytona Coupe would be pretty cool.

As an Eagle Scout myself, I always loved the Pine Wood Derby.

I never seemed to be able to make a competitive enough car, so I always tried to win the awards for "most interesting design" and stuff like that.

It's counter intuitive , first cheat.
No first find out what rules your using and if they will be enforced. Then cheat.

bias the weight to the rear, have one front wheel off the track, test until it runs strait (no bouncing off the center guide, polish the axle and hot polish graphite into them.

Google "unlimited pine wood derby" that's where the real cheaters are.

Yeah, I was going to say, powdered graphite for the axles was the hot setup for us back in the day.

The last thing you want to do is show your kid how well you can cheat.
