I finally got my new garage built which I had a hand in about 40% of the project. Looking at it now the 26'x30' foot print could have used an additional 5 or 10 to make it 26'x35' or 40' with all the tools and cars that are now rushing in! I do have 13 foot ceilings! Unfortunately though a TR6 for a new harness and a 57 Thunderbird has beat my TR8 for occupancy. I do however have the walls covered just to give it that homey feel. I also A loft is coming and then a 2-post lift!

They're never big enough. If you built it as big as you can afford, or the codes allow, be happy. I'm impressed that its brick, too.

The brick is a front and 2 feet on each side on the front portion of the sidewalls. I did get into a pissing match and won with my local county codes office.

I'm just in the process of building a 24 x 24 stand alone garage. I only had a single attached garage but have two TR8's and a TR7 vintage race car. I really wanted to go bigger, but finances and available space limit me. Looks like the TR7 and my TR8 will be in the new garage and my wife can keep her TR8 in the attached garage. You can never have enough garage space.

The county told me I had a limit of 15' tall and 600 sf for detached. I added a small breezeway no sides and them I can go as big as I want with property line limits and up to 42' tall. I got lucky.....
