Here's a link to some pics from the No Frills Iron Bottom Motor Tour 2008 last weekend.

We started at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, and hit all the best 2 lane roads between LA and Monterey. We racked up over 1100 miles during the 3 days in my 510. The spectrum of cars was amazing and the people were great. I can't wait for next year.

I am officially jealous!
Who runs this? Do you have any info so I can make sure to look for it next year?
Great pix too! Thanks for sharing.
Great looking pix not like your usual car show boring shots . Thats alot of miles what was the drop out count ?
Nobody "officially" runs it, since it's free to enter, though it seems the early 911 club certainly had it on their calendar. You can check back here for details when they become available:

Dates for 2009 are tentatively April 7-9. You'd fit right in with your 914.

The cars you see there at the Mission (day 3, breakfast) have
a) paid $20/head for catered breakfast
b) already done 600+ miles
Many more may have skipped the stop or arrived and left. No telling what the drop out rate was, but judging by how many cars were in town on the last night, I'd guess it was small. Evening bench racing in the motel parking lot in Paso was insane! I know the Gullwing made the full run (how awesome is that?) but the D-Jag headed back home after 30 min on day 1. Honestly, I don't think he ever intended to make the entire run. Too bad for him.
