Hi folks, I wanted to thank you ahead of time for your advice and thoughts. I recently decided to trade some of the silver bullion I have accumulated for a nice summer ride. My intent is to make a trade for a car that I can enjoy for a few months (8 month nasty winters) and then re sell it for a profit after slapping on some nicer rims to make it pop and doing a few other small things. I am in the business of trading up and making money and have been offered some quality cars, but finding accurate value information has been much harder than expected, I can't exactly trust NADA values as I know something is only worth what one man will give, especially for classic cars. I'm looking for REAL market values as is and after putting a little bit of money into making the cars pop.

The first is a 1970 plymouth fury III. 74,000 original miles on the 383, automatic trans. The car is in great shape, nothing major wrong with it and it has been owned by a mechanic who has done all the upkeep. The car is a convertible (only 1500~ made in 1970) and is one clean bad ass street rider IMO.

The second is a 1974 dodge charger. Fully restored show winning car. Has the 400 under the hood with a BW racing shifter and a beautiful interior. Gorgeous paintjob and sure to turn heads, only needs a few minor things done that I can do myself for free and aside from that is a mint car. 10,000 miles since the resto. Classic muscle.

Thanks again for your thoughts, they are greatly appreciated and will help me make a sound financial decision.

The Charger is the better pick if you ask me. The Fury might appeal to some but I really have a soft spot for the Charger. Hnestly I would not think either car is worth more than 10k with 7.5K to 8K being the likely value I would pay for either.
