I actually had a productive day with a car yesterday: changed the oil and transmission fluid, adjusted the clutch, and made the parking brake operational. Anyone else get their hands dirty?

We have worked out all the kinks in our outdoor lift friday and it is now operational . We put a nissan truck on it and gave it a greasing .
Got the cylinders and heads installed on the 914 motor! Going to double check the torque settings tonight. After that's done, in go the lifters, pushrod tubes and pushrods. I should have her in the car by the end of the month!!!
Dropped a monster B20 into a '73 Volvo 144 and put the transmission back in. This should be quite the sleeper
Nothing radical, just a street performance setup with an emphasis on a very wide torque curve rather than peak HP:
Custom Ross forged big-bore pistons (2174cc)
Total Seal rings
Stock rods shot-peened
Lightened flywheel
Rotating assembly balanced
HD oil pump
Custom Schneider cam
Isky lifters, pushrods, springs and retainers
Cloyes steel/aluminum timing gear set
Larger stainless intake and exhaust valves
Bronze guides
F head w/ lots of porting and chamber mods
Tighter piston-to-head clearance
10.0:1 compression
Upgraded front and rear main seals
SDS injection
Crank-triggered ignition w/ coil packs
Stock D-jet intake manifold
Stock exhaust manifold and dual head pipes
2.5" exhaust system
I filled the steering box and damper with oil and checked all systems. I then buffed up the paint for a trip to the vintage races but the weather turned sour and did not go.

Took a 3-day weekend mostly to do yard work. But I was able to get a couple hours garage-time in yesterday and started working on getting the new gas tank in my Spitfire. I'm cleaning, priming and re-spraying the area before I put the new tank in.
Well, I installed a new gas expansion tank in the M3, and then proceeded to drive from Daytona to W. Georgia, then over to Charlestown SC and back up through Greenville. All told we covered about a thousand miles this weekend, and now my love for the BMW is rekindled!
Changed out the lower 'A' arms on the Lotus to ones with adjustable heims so I can dial in the toe.
Onward now to my favorite alignment shop to verify my measurements.

Oh yeah, I thought I recognized a car out in the parking lot.
