Last month I encountered a rather nasty pot hole while driving the GT6. The hit took out the braking system.
I really enjoyed the car with it's enhanced camber but have grown tired of the harshness of the ride.
When I originally set the car up I went hard on the suspension but since I now have a race car I can afford to ease up and really make the GT6 a good comfortable ride.
So I returned the leaf spring back to the stock location on the vertical link. I still have a 1 3/4" diff block so I gain back some ride height and keep a little camber.
Enhanced camber setup. You can see the brake line extension I had to do to make this work.
Stock bolt location. Flex hose back attached to the brake cylinder again.
I was concerned I would lose some of the stance but it still looks good.
Passenger in stock location now.
Vs driver side which will be done tonight.
I still need to rebleed the whole brake system which is good as the DOT 5 fluid is 5 years old now.
After that I will adjust the toe if required and then mount the new tires. I may also have to put some spring shims in up front to push the noise up. Not a hard task.
Again it is about improving the ride quality of this car. I am hoping by the end of the summer I'll have the interior done and have all these projects finished.
Should adjust those carbs to. A little rich at idle now.
