Seatbelts for a '49 Willys Overland Jeepster?

I'm looking at purchasing a 49 Jeepster Phaeton in the near future and my wife has expressed concern about the lack of seatbelts in cars of that era.

Being that this is a soft-top, it doesn't have the door pillar to mount the over-shoulder clip.

Has anyone had experience installing 3 point retractable seatbelts in these vintage cars? I'd like to know where to start looking for parts (found a few places with 'universal' mounts, but no info on how to install) and the viability and safety of said parts.

Never done a 3-point, but lap belts are easy enough.

About the only things I can think of are:

1. Mount the belts to a roll bar or harness bar

2. Get a set of seats with built in seat belts, like early Chrysler Sebring convertible ones.

As stated, lap belts are easy. So are full harness like a 4-point racing harness if you want upper body secure. There are roadsters out that have 3-point retractable harness. Off the top of my head, MGB, Triumph, Miata for example. Many other types out there. You will probably have to come up with mounting on your own or search an off-road or Jeep forum for solutions.

There are retrofit three point harness kits for early Mustang convertibles. I installed a set in my brother in law's '67 about ten years back. Not exactly concours correct, but a good option. You may want to see who manufactures those and see if you can make them work.
