As some of you know, I've had a couple of TR6s. Well, after going through a couple of fairly worn-out examples, I finally found one worth keeping. Upon taking delivery, my first call was to VTO Wheels. I picked up a set of their 15x7 LeMans wheels, and I'm pretty psyched at how the car looks now. The car is now part of the CMS stable, so look for it to pop up occasionally. I'm also open to any advice, or modification ideas. I'm not saying I'll go crazy on this car--- as it's way too clean to chop up, but improvement is always a good thing right?

Very nice, Joe. Looking forward to seeing more.
(Incidentally, didn't you purchase a TR6 in New Hampshire in the winter and drive it to Florida a few years ago?)

Well, yes I did! I bought my first TR6 from Sam Smith, who owns Brit Bits in Rye NH. I picked up the car on Feb 1st in a blizzard, and Rennie Bryant and I proceeded to drive it all the way down to FL. I drove that car for a few years and loved it, but it had rust issues, and was a bit tired, so I passed it along to a new owner who completely restored it. It lives up in CT now.
This car is a keeper---- totally clean, never rusted or badly hit. But that first TR is what gave me the "bug".

My brother has an immaculate 73 TR6 complete with triple webers that he has owned for 30 yrs. I tell him he should upgrade to a TR8, but he doesn't listen.

Great looking car, great score!
TR6 on my bucket list
Candidate for a supercharger?

^^ Perhaps at some point down the line I'll go with a supercharger. The engine has been professionally rebuilt about 20K miles ago with a slightly more aggressive cam. It runs beautifully, and feels quicker than it is. I'm totally happy with the way it runs and feels now. That said, I've driven them with the Moss supercharger kit, and it's a pretty amazing transformation.
Took a few better pics yesterday. I never get tired of looking at this little thing. Very happy I went with the VTO LeMans wheel instead of a typical panasport / retro-8. Those look fantastic, but were a bit too common for my tastes. Now I'll easily be able to find my car at the next British car show!
+1 on the Wheels. Looks GREAT!
Thanks--- I couldn't be happier.
