So who is going?
I'm prepping for the big drive.
Not sure where I'm going to camp, but right now I'm leaning towards onsite. :)

I'm close to being able to confirm my attendance. I probably have to be in CT the following week.

Anyone else find the camping arrangements confusing for the Glen?
I keep being told the $70.00 includes camping, but then I see online its another $50.00 for un-reserved sites???
Anyone care to fill me in.
I hope to arrive there on the Thr.

What event are you talking about? The Vintage Grand Prix? We're planning to be there with 1 or 2 Spitfires, although we're staying in a motel in Horseheads.
Have you ever been there? From what I remember, the camping is "primative" at best. Restrooms & port-o-johns, but no showers.
edit: correction. Looking at the guest services pdf map, I see two showers, one near Area A and another near Gate 1. Maybe this is of less importance to you, but I've gotten to a point in my life where camping = work.
I'll be there crewing for a TR4.
Ian, the showers are really nice at the Glen. They are coin operated, but I've never had to put a coin in them and the water pressure/temperature is great. I don't think many people know about them as I've never had to wait to take one.
......and for those who can't make this one, VRG is running a neat vintage event at The Glen on Oct 17-19. I'll be there with #909 Spridget.
It's a non-spectator event, but a great deal (read "cheap") if you're bringing a race car to run in the event. And they can often use volunteer help.....try contacting them via the VRG website to see if they need any workers/helpers for the event.
I am looking forward to the trip.
Will be a long drive in the GT6, but should be worth it.
I think I'll up my spares kit and what not to ensure I am covered its a couple 100 more KM's over the mosport run.

Ordered my ticket last night.
I have to say this, Mosport is a huge bargain compared to The Glen.
Still its a special occasion and I will be waving my Triumph Banner.
Ok I don't have a Triumph Banner.

I missed Mosport his year (although considering the circumstances, maybe it's just as well).
And speaking of ticket prices, for those looking for a relative bargain, the Thunderbolt Historics and antique airshow will take place at New Jersey Motorsports park on Sept 20-21. Tickets are $25 (you get in both days with that ticket). They have camping too...not sure of the cost. Live band Saturday night and classic '50s car show too. I'll be running the Spridget at this event.

And Atlantic City is nearby to NJMP if you're feeling lucky.
I can't make this Glen event, but thanks for the info about the Thunderbolt Historic show...that's less than an hour drive for me so I'll check that out, sounds great. I'll be driving a track day at NJMP on Aug5 so I'll have my first close in-person look at the place.
Im going to try do another double weekend. The Glen on Sat for the car show.then on Sun back to Toronto Motorsport Park for another Time attack with CSCS.ca
