Through all of the championships "Fast" Phil Currin has won over his career, his love of Corvettes has stayed strong the whole time.
This 1968 Corvette was his weapon of choice to win three SCCA national autocross championships.

Cool to see some autocross history celebrated. Phil is one of our locals, and I have walked courses with him. Sadly, though, I didn’t pick up any of his skills.
Very nice car, but auto crossing is at least 70-80% driver skill...congratulations!

Isn't he running a Celica these days? Last year at the firm I think he was in a lil Toyota. We had to rock paper scissors to see who was gonna stay late and work timing lol.
He's got a Celica GT that he drives in H Street, a C Street FRS, and his E Street MR-S is for sale right now.
He also still owns the 63 split window corvette that he won the IMSA GT National Championship with in 1971, and if you're lucky, you might get to see (and hear) it at an event. I don't know what else is in the stable.
I always enjoy talking to Phil, what ever the topic, cars, airplanes, or his cat. He's one of the people I've been really lucky to get to know.

Yep, chatted with Phil a bit at our $2000 Challenge. I have walked autocross courses with him before, too. Sadly, the driving skill didn’t wear off on me.
