So finally got out for a nice run in the GT6 on the weekend.

Have some little issue to deal with and can't wait to do the inside stuff.

Will look into softening up the suspension now too.

Since I no longer have a desire to race her I can focus in on making her into a sweet GT.

Softening?

After doing an auto-cross in the Spit 6, I've been dreaming up ways to stiffen up the car... even with Spit-Bits' GT6 sport/lowering springs, Spax shocks and urethane bushings, the front end is still too soft. Need to get the rear of the car lower as well...

Remember, there is quite a bit of CG and gross weight difference between a GT-6 and a Spitfire 2000.

That would change handling quite a bit.

Ok soften might not be the right word, but just will work to make the ride nicer.

Andre - It probably would help to go back to 13" wheels and tires too (I know you've got a lot of money tied up in the larger set, but they're not helping the ride quality).

No way man. Love those wheels. Besides funds go to the Fiat now.

True... But after two events, I've basically decided the Spit 6 will be retired from auto-x... after final sorting, I'll either sell it or continue building it up as more of a GT. The way it's geared, it's a great hwy cruiser...

Andre' - I forget... did you install a stiffer front sway bar on the car? If so, going back to a stock bar should soften up the ride a bit.
