Been correcting issues. The coil was installed on the horizontal. Required me to move the coolant overflow bottle.

Paint the fan shroud black. The coolant bottle location looks right to me for an early car. I like the rubber fuel line with the fabric braid on it better...seems to last much longer. You can get it at German car shops. Did you go to electronic ignition?

VARAC won't allow the ignition goodies so the MDS box had to be removed.

I suppose I could paint some stuff but she's a race car not a princess ;)

Could you not run the oem electronic system from a FI Fiat? Pretty simple bolt-on. There's also the Marelli Plex system but they are a bit hard to find now.

Its an optical trigger with pick up module.

Really all the MSD box was doing was providing the pick and a rev limiter.
