There's been nothing going on here for about a month now. Did all the regulars pack up and move to a different forum?

wE HAVE BEEN SUPER BUSY JUNKING/CRUSHING CARS we saved alot but thinned the herd . We should have a crapload of mga/mgb /datsun z /mazda crap original stuff for sale just about new years mgacoupe.com
OK, that explains Karl's absense. (Glad to hear it's car-related). But there are still 10-15 other hard core regulars who have gone missing for the past few weeks.
The new site launch was a little painful. The traffic reports show that folks are still here on the site, but message board traffic has been slow.
For my own part, I've been spending most all of my time on the back end of the site trying to help smooth out the launch wrinkles. Maybe we need a really good conversation starter?
I'm here...busy working on the 2002.
I'm hoping to have it done in time for my 1 year anniversary with it (Jan 5th) and on display at the Rolex24.

I started this topic hoping that it will bring people back to the forum ... that is, if they're lurking around.
BTW Per, the 2002 is fantastic. Great color.

saved the 320 bmw from crush
Still healing. So when I can do some work I'm busy getting the house and fleet ready for winter. I should be putting some heat into the garage this weekend. And by Dec I'll be back out there at night working on the FIAT.
Had another casual offer for the GT6. Did give it some serious thought, but just don't have the heart to let her go.
I've been studying the GRM garage build up. Its given me some ideas, but I do have a few challenges for space ahead.
A.
I hope that offer was WELL into the 5-figure range. It would have to be if it were me who put as much work and money into that car as you did.
I have no plans to sell mine anytime soon unless somebody makes an offer I can't refuse or SWMBO decides she has to sell the 1500, in which case I'd have to chose that car over the GT6.
Lowes is now selling the DeWalt 1/2" Dr 18v impact gun in tool-only form for $134... minus 5% if on my Lowes card... has me thinking...
Oh yeah... and posting would help if I didn't have to log in every time I go to the forums.
And since I'm an "UltraDork" here, I'm guessing my posts from the GRM forums are being counted? So I still don't understand why there isn't just one log-in.
You must have eaten too many cookies.
As per the power tool. Na I can't get too soft.
I really need to finish the car's interior too. Damn boxes are waiting for me in the basement. But I really can't be bothered to tear into her. Still I'll do it this spring.
As per the racer. I need some fresher tires, new seat belts, address the alt issue from the last race, reset the timing and get a race medical. Then we let time see what happens.
Mosport has been very active. I want to run with the CMS Small Bore series in 2012.
I had to move my focus away from older cars to something a little more modern for a while and I'm probably not going to have time to look at another classic for a year or two .
I find it a bit hard to navigate over here. But I lack the computer sophistication most people have.
I'm here too, but for some reason the new site doesn't stay logged in under Firefox. Therefore, I can't tell when there are new threads or posts.
Other than that, I have been working on the 122s Wagon, selling some 914 parts and coaching my kids' soccer.

Now that you mention it, I have the same issue. IE8 here at work stays logged in. Firefox at home boots me out.
Personally, all the weird Spam kept me away. I've been hoping things would settle down.
I've pulled the 1275 out my '73 Midget parts car purchase (for the A35 racer), but the Midget is so nice, I'm going to save it as a "runner" by re-powering it with my spare 948 engine. It'll be slow and I don't really need it (have a nice '69 MGB street car already), but it's a pretty low effort project. Meanwhile, working on the A35 too.
I helped run ~This LeMans Start~ last Saturday.
Lurking for sure. Thing is, any feedback I can get on my projects here, I will get five times on the GRM board. And probably from the same people.
There is a lot of overlap between the two boards in terms of automotive interest and while the Classic guys are not interested in a modded Civic, the modded Civic guys are interested in classic cars; much broader basis for discourse on the GRM board.
Bring back the ability for the members to post build threads that others can follow, and you will see more people on the board.
Another small but useful thing would be to have common log-in for both boards.
Pete
