I'm looking for a newer nice dd, and it looks like you can get an 07 bmw 335i with around 120,000km for ~$15000. 300hp, 300tq, sounds like a lot of power for the money. Opinions?

Common problems : drive belt tensioners fold over causing the belts to walk off. Lifespan of the electric water pump is about 50,000 miles and its expensive. Wastewater rattle, usually the rear one. It's annoying. Lots of one time use aluminubolts. That said, make mine a blue coupe. Oh, check for open recalls.
I would suggest a diesel. One of my autocross buddies has one and his is reliable. They are also the best looking 3-series car made. They are big and wide for autocross purposes, however. The interior felt a little cheap, which is disappointing. They are probably great for a DD.

Sorry, my phone keyboard is a jerk. The waste gates rattle. You can usually hear them inside and outside the car, just off idle.
Fuel injectors are another common issue. Dealer just quoted me $1200 to replace and code 3 injectors on my 135i.
Also, a lot of the high pressure fuel pumps on the early cars were defective, but likely most of them out there by now have either been replaced or are not defective.
