During my evening Ebay cruising I stumbled onto this- a 1/18th scale barn find 1992 Saab 900 Turbo cabrio. I'm not the wordliest guy, so I wondered- is this a thing in the scale modeling world? Or other worlds?

It is, but I really wouldn't want to pay for something I could do myself.
Huh, I guess that surprises me a little. But I know squat about that stuff.
I usually see it more done to plastic models, but not surprised to see it done to die cast.
I have an AC cobra in that theme. Found this at Menards a few years back.
I have a 1/18th Mustang SVO in parts in the basement. 
That looks like my real 900 convertible when I got it.
If they sold for 1/18th of what some actual "barn finds" sell for, that could get pretty lucrative
