I am working on a 1275 Sprite engine and it has seen a hard life. The bores in the big ends of the connecting rods are seriously egg shaped. I need to re-size them and I have not been able to find the factory spec. Anyone here have a factory manual the includes the number? Carl Heideman?
I checked my factory workshop manual but could not find that information. I expect that the manufacturer would tell you if the rods are measurably distorted, then replacement is in order.
Take a look at this page...I think you'll find the numbers you want if you scroll down to the 1275 section. If not, I'll see what I have at the shop.
