I know nothing about these. If it wasn't a RHD, It would be right up my alley. It's not cheap, but I don't think it's too much.

DAF's have a cool "variomatic" transmission. A CVT but based on 1960's moped technology

This means they should be tuneable with springs and roller weights. Imagine installing a turbo and tuning the trans to start variating at peak torque. Could be amazingly cool.

DAF always seemed like a neat car to me. Lots of interesting technology in a small car made in Holland of all places. The RHD really isn't that big of a deal. I think CM should buy this and do something with it. What, I don't know, but something.
There's a guy a few towns away that has a bunch of old european cars stashed on his property. One of them was a DAF. At some point, someone decided it was in their way and needed to be moved...with a snowplow. Pretty much destroyed it,
Driving a RHD car is really not a hard adjustment. The only real challenge is passing on a 2 lane road.
