Before you go all Tim Allen on the thing, have you tried placing a jack under the transmission and raising it up a tad?

If you can get to it, sometimes a solid rap on the head with a ball peen hammer will break loose the crud that keeps the bolt from turning.If all else fails cutting the head off removing the trans and then using a pipe wrench might work. With the head removed maybe you can get some penetrating oil into the threads. Haven't tried it myself but have been told auto trans fluid mixed with acetone will free up anything. m
