Everyone home/getting home okay?
Immediately ran into problems, something in the car's rear end blew up on the highway near Jacksonville, can't see what exactly but I heard shrapnel fly out..the rear CVs were getting a little clickier lately but there was no other warning.
Update: Tow truck should be on the way soon thanks to pimpm3's help

I think your car really wants to make sure you visit Jacksonville on the way home from every challenge.
Made it home, uneventful trip. Like every other year I have already begun shopping and planning the next one...

At the shop now.
Shop has fine taste in magazines
Did you put those there for the picture?

I wholeheartedly approve of dumping GRM issues in whatever waiting room you can find.
Sold the Jetta TDI on FB marketplace to a guy in the Atlanta IKEA parking lot at 11pm, then flew home! Glad to be at home, not doing anything for at least a few days.
Took the opportunity to check the nearby Subaru dealership for some parts I'd been meaning to pick up, the bad news is that if you need a replacement belt tensioner pulley for an FA20/4UGSE you need to pull one from a junkyard or fabricate something, the good news is that they have some cool classic Subarus in the lobby including an LMP360 pupa
Problem found. Despite my best efforts at adding heat shielding and repacking with Redline CV2, the left inner CV ate E36 M3 first:
In reply to GameboyRMH :
That looks like the coolest Subaru dealership ever. Road trip?
And bummer on the axle, of course.
Subaru of Jacksonville is a very cool Subaru dealership. That's where I bought my new BRZ.
They are supportive of motorsports and even used to sponsor the local SCCA Autocross group.

I assume, though, that given you thought it could have been the rear end letting loose, you got out of there a lot cheaper than you might have been thinking!
Safe travels the rest of the way!
Home at Midnight l, at work at 6:30am. Put another bag of ice in the cooler, because I'm too tired to remove it.
A few questions...
Why is Robs jack in my truck?
Why do my calves hurt?
Why are there turbo LS headers in my truck?
Why are there C5 Corvette wheels in my truck?
Why do I feel impelled to rewatch Forrest Gump?

I know the answer to question No. 2.
I sadly never left home base. That's two challenges I've missed.
Hope you all had enough fun for me. I assume someone ate my Brat and drank my booze at Stampie's. That's some real taking one for the team, and I thank you all.
