Replaced all the brake lines, hard and soft on my 03 7.3 F-250, and bled the brakes. The brakes still feel a bit soft and the abs light never goes off. FWIW, this wasn't a problem before the line change. Ideas??

Probably stating the obvious here but I'd probably start by double checking none of the wheel speed sensors got damaged accidently. Then I'd look and see if the factory service manual requires any kind of cycling of the ABS pump when bleeding the brakes or replacing lines. I've struggled with a few early 2000's Ford ABS systems.
It sounds like you've still got some air in the system but I don't recall ever having an ABS light from that. If the ABS light is on there should be a code stored which might give you a clue.
Did you unplug any of the wheel sensors during the process and/or forget to plug them back in and/or turn the key on with them disconnected, even if you didnt start the engine? If so, you will need to clear out the codes.
That being said you are gonna need a code reader anyway to reset the light so I would find one and see what the problem is vs guessing over the internet.
Just orange abs light, or red brake failure light as well? Red implies a hydraulic I'm balance and that will trigger the abs light.
4wal or Rwal? If rwal Ford might still have a combination valve with a switch in it, and Ford never made it self center very well after a brake line failure.
Does that have the sensor on the dif in the rear or is it individual wheels. The one on the dif is a known problem. Also the abs motor could be going south. If you were working around it the plug that powers it corrodes and a small bump will make it fault.
Mark, check the wire running to the rear sensor as I have seen a few sensors replace due to the wire chafing on the hose and frame.

Scanned it. My reader found no codes. Light went off after reading it. Isn't acting like air in the lines. Can't pump them up. Also, there is a hum that becomes louder when the brakes are applied. It also becomes louder when you steer it. THe pedal will go almost to the floor, but it will stop my loaded 12,000 pound trailer (yes, I'm using it to move) with brake balance set to minimum. (I'm using it on max to not stress out the brakes). So it must be in the pump or a relationship between the pump and the steering pump?? Does the steering pum provide power to the brakes, or is there a shared circuit somehow??
Doesn't sound like the normal Ford power steering pump noise. And, it gets louder when I'm applying the brakes.
As a man who has owned two 02 Powerstrokes, yes the hum is power steering pump and its probably low on fluid or old fluid. Its a hydroboost system so pressing on the brake pedal loads up the system. I daily drove an 02 for 5 years with a leaky return hose, it would leak down about every 3 months and I would have to add more fluid. Could always tell when it needed more because it would get really loud sitting at intersections with your foot on the brake. Pull into the gas station, add half a quart, and pull out quiet as a church.
Cool. I'll double check the power steering. Weird, though, as doesn't have that normal Ford PS sound. LOL, Ford's almost always seem to have a little PS noise, even when almost new.
