I might be going to look at a 2005 GT mustang with 5 speed (117k Miles) tonight that has been in a minor wreck for 4k.
Does this look like as good a deal to you guys as is does to me? Or am I missing something?

Did the airbags deploy? Also maybe seat belt pre-tensioners?
It looks like minor cosmetic damage but the headlight panel/radiator support is probably toast.
I'd check all of the body lines too.
It might be a good deal if nothing else is tweaked
My 05 took almost that much damage and I still drove it home from Atlanta. A tree fell on it.
I think the insurance repair at a pro bodyshop was around 7 or 8k (in 2007), but it took damage all over the car so it included new bumper, grill, hood, windshield, roof (cut out & weld in), headlight, and a full repaint.
Parts aren't too expensive, plus stock takeoffs are still pretty common on craigslist and the junkyards are well stocked. If the motor's good and the frame's not bent, it's probably a good deal if you don't have any scrap title issues.
I am having second thoughts so I will let the feeding frenzy begin.

Yeah, that rear end damage is a deal breaker to me. Its just not the bumper/support but it looks like it also got the rear quarter panel as well.
You'd have to put more into the car than its worth.
Wise to pass it by. That's a somewhat old car in need of obvious body repair, but what else will need looking at? A five speed V8 Mustang would tend to get beaten on somewhat. Lots of those around in decent condition for not a whole lot more than what he asking for that one.
oooh....yeah, after seeing that rear damage I'd stay away too. In good shape that's still a $12k car around here...but that's not worth it. If you could get it for $2k it's make a hell of a driveline donor...
I was originally interested for the motor and trans but I don't think I could sell enough else off the car to make my money (or close enough to it) back and be happy. I am positive my wife will be happy that I didn't go after it.
I had a friend that ran into a tree with his '06 Mustang. The damage looked really similar to the car in the OP. Ended up totaling it out because the frame was tweaked. He was completely fine as was everyone else in the car.
Likely has some front end sway. I didn't look at the back end photos.
I've seen these cars as low as $8500. An OEM hood is $1000. They are more expensive to fix than you'd expect. Just buy one that isn't wrecked.
