Well the MINI is gone so I got this new to me Honda Accord Coupe. 170KM but has been Honda dealer maintained and has already had the timing chain done. It's a 2.4L 5 speed manual EX-L and I'm loving the smooth yet sporty drive. It's fun but compared to the MINI, feels huge. My wife and kids love it and I'm hoping to keep this one for awhile. Took some decent pics:

Really like it. My sister put 300k+ on these with just routine oil changes. Jealous of that car!
Nice car. My 2011 sedan just runs and runs.
I was quite surprised by how quick the V6 versions are, and the 4 cyl is still plenty zippy for a dd.
A little low makes those look quite good too. Just saying.

The V6 has the same horsepower rating as the first US spec STi.

Wife's '03 has 214k merciless miles and doesn't miss a beat. Your's should serve you well.
Great choice. I love the Accord coupe, have driven both 4 cyl and 6 cyl. The 4 pot is adequate for every day use, the V6 is downright fast for a family hauler. I've heard that a rear sway bar does wonders to help the handling. Awesome car.
One of the prettiest appliance cars. Honda did a really good job with these.

The K24 / 6MT combination is one of the truly great FWD drivetrains of the modern age. Nice car!
Having just sold an 08 2.4 coupe, i hope yours doesnt burn oil. Something with carbon gunking up the low tension piston rings and makes oil disappear at an alarming rate. Ours had even less miles than yours. Otherwise besides the largeness of it compared to the small cabin it really was a wonderful car that was otherwise very reliable

I'll keep an eye on this, thanks.
Did a 450km trip yesterday, car runs great and you can even feel the vtec, yo!
I got some cheap(er) used rims for the Accord, Racing Hart from a Protege but I blacked out the Mazda logo. I'm now looking at Lowering Springs but this one needs to stay stock, daily driver duties.

My 2011 2.4 burns minimum - I just checked it with 4000 since my last oil change (136,000 on the clock) and I'm down a 1/4 of a quart.
Know what I like? I'm 6'4" tall and its roomy inside. I never feel cramped.
I'm 6' tall and there is tons of room, kids fit in the back without issue and my wife likes to drive the car. Win, Win.

Our 2009 was up to a quart every 2500 miles, at 75k on the clock, when it was put out of service by another driver's lack of ability to see/ think / drive.

Yeah the k24 is a great engine, i think the oil consumption thing was limited to 2008 though. Our now sold accord would burn 4 quarts in 4k, thats crazy

Oil is the only downside on the wife's. Around a quart every week or two. I just keep it topped off.
I'm used to the the oil consumption on an R56 MINI so this is no big deal. ha. Just keeps the oil fresh...
