for the next few hours, i live through this thread.

Wishing you luck with that.
More news: the rain won today. Only about 8 drag passes were made, so results will only count for bragging rights and what-ifs.
Next up- banquet time!
The picture shows 10.58 @ 114 mph. Is that right? Aren't mid 10's typically another 10-15 mph faster? Did they shut down early to toy with everyone so they could rip off a 9.90 on their second run? Were they bouncing off the rev limiter already at the 1/8th mile mark? Did they actually run 1,114 mph and the track just couldn't display the first digit? Or (most likely) I don't know what I'm talking about and 114mph is actually a reasonable speed for that ET for such a light car?

Now if you'd have held this event in Texas it would be more centrally located AND it wouldn't have rained. Working on months and months without rain.

Andy lifted, multiple times, to keep it straight. No second runs for anyone. Not even a first run for about half of the field. It was a shame.

That is a shame. This could be the car that goes 10.1 - 10.2 and makes the folks at Hot Rod feel ashamed.

No need for the folks at Hot Rod to feel ashamed. They know him too. They would be proud of him just the same as we are.

He was the very first car out, and the big end was still a little wet. He did a great job just keeping it straight.

Thanks, I assumed he had lifted, I just didn't know why.
