Folks,

The wife has a 2014 RAV4 with about 70k miles.

The car was diagnosed with a leaking auxiliary water pump.

Questions:

Is $900 a reasonable charge to RnR this part?

Is there a good web service to show the RnR for this part? Our library has a second rate DIY web site for car repairs. I would not mind paying for a comprehensive web service for car DIY.

Where is this pump in the engine compartment?

Thanks,

Rog

Which engine is this? It looks like Toyota likes to put these on the opposite side of the block from the mechanical water pump. I'm seeing replacement pumps for RAV4s of that generation going for anything from $100 to $400.

Hey,

It's the 2.5 4cyl.

I think that the aux pump is on the back of the motor..

It looks like this:

It doesn't appear to be on the exhaust side of the engine but that's all I can find so far...
