This Past Sunday at the kenosha county fair here in Wisconsin we had the yearly county fair demo derby. I am one of the track photographers so went to shoot. Also hag to go since I have family running the derby also. My brother in the full size truck class, MY nephew and his cuzin in the compact class, and a friend of my nephews in the chain and go class. This is the heavy hits from the show. The pink truck is my brothers and the first hit he did knocked out the raditer on that modded truck. the Lincoln with the flags is the freind. i will toss in brendon and dillions cars at the end.

brandon, first time demoing at the age of 16 with just got his drivers licinces the couple of days before.
dillion, age 21 cuzuion.
and charile, age 20. been doing this for a few years.

There are definitely some events that blur the line. Crash to pass and figure-8 come to mind.
When you tell people around here that you are building a race car, this is what they think you are talking about.. my neighbor even offered to get me some 4"x4" x 1/4" wall tubing to build the roll cage in my Neon.. you tell them that you are building a road racer, and they think dirt circle track.. you explain what a road race is, their eyes glaze over and they say that sounds lame..
Just south of here, they also do autocross- but it has nothing to do with wearing funny hats and driving around orange cones in a parking lot.. they take cars and light trucks around the motocross track at the county fair the day after the motocross.
