3rd-Gen Camaro Suspension?

Is there a proven "hot setup" for these cars? If so, what is it?

Your best bet, if you are willing to part with some cash, is to call Sam Strano. He ran one of these on a national level in ESP and was quite successful (like National Championship successful). He has loads of knowledge but sells parts for a living and really does not enjoy when people take his advice and shop elsewhere.

I would say you may want to look at adding a 1LE Wonder Bar Brace to reduce front end flex. I think fatter sway bars are probably the last thing you want to add. In fact, I don't think anyone serious does.

thirdgen.org is a great place to spend some time. I need to caution you: too much time there and you will grow a mullet.

While not suspension per se, an old Torsen T2R really helps you come out of the corners. You need to find the old ones though. From what I understand, there is some variety of metallurgical difference in the later differentials that make them not hold up.

The setup I run is stock Trans Am ws6 sway bars they run 36mm hollow bar up front and 24mm solid out back with poly bushings. If you find a Trans Am or Formula in the wrecking yard they usually have this sway bar set up. I run Ground Control weight jacks and Koni shocks all the way around, with an adjustable panhard bar, 245 45 16 hankook RS2 tires and auburn racers diff my car handles great and is competitive at local AutoX in ESP

IROC camaro's got the wonder bar, and 34mm solid bar up front, Solid 21mm rear. The wonder bar is more of a brace to keep part of the front subframe from developing cracks than a performance piece some will debate it makes the front more stiff, i installed one on my Trans Am and did not feel the difference, i just did it to stregthen the front subframe from cracking.

Ive driven an Iroc, with stock suspension, and it was not as loose as my car was when it was stock. There are a ton of different rear bar sizes you can find in wrecking yards off 82-92 camaros and firebirds for cheap, you can try different size bars on the rear and tune your set up for your driving style. they range from 18 to -24mm. What Year Camaro do you have?

Fourth gen rear swaybars (1993-2002) interchange as well.

Subframe connectors are your friend.

I plan to run both welded and bolted (then welded) subframe connectors. They run in different areas and you can run two kits on a single car...
