At first I thought, meh, then I looked at the parts on that, yeah I can see $20K but I doubt he will get it all back.
I love that it has 3 pedals
Honestly, if I had the cash I would drive it just because it would piss so many people off. I am not a good person.
I'm not sure I understand the reasoning behind building a car to "piss off the purists" (as in most of the people who like vehicles like that), then trying to sell it and get back the money they put into it.
I kinda want to do that, but remove all Toyota markings and paint it Chevy orange, see how many people buy my story about it being some sort of escaped prototype.

Rebadge the 2jz as a chevy inline six from some euro truck or some E36 M3.

And actual paint.

Or competent welder, I ain't that great either, but for the asking price I don't want bird E36 M3 welds on what appears to be the center console.
I fully dig the concept and end result, but not for that kind of money.
I have more of an issue with the wheels. The fitment is really ugly and the wheels themselves look dated, not retro.
Otherwise, it's pretty awesome.
Ok, from the previous owner of a '65 Chevelle, I have a few things to say.
First off, it's easy to get parts for the '65 El Camino now. You want $20k for that? Paint the goddamn thing and make the interior not look like a work truck from the 1940's.
Second, Why are there random holes in the hood? I don't see hood pins. Once again, finish the damn car and maybe you'll get what you want for it.
Lastly, I like the idea. I love straight 6 engines and this is no exception. I like that they made it a manual and it doesn't look atrocious. It could use different wheels, but otherwise, I could dig it, if it looked a little more complete.
did anyone else notice the single pot master cyl? or the missing headlight trim?
I like the idea, and some of the execution was great. but it looks like the rest was a hack job. like the welding, dash setup, etc.
not a 20k truck. but cool nonetheless

You mean the aluminum grille surround? The headlight bezels are intact.
I also just looked at the master. WOW. Supposedly this car has 6-pots in the front and 4-pots in the rear. AND THEY'RE USING A SINGLE MASTER CYLINDER?
yup. meant the surround....
ive been polishing mine today.
and pics in the ad DO show wildwood calipers behind a set of those wheels.
berkeleying scary!

Life gets a lot easier when you come to accept that most people are only concerned about two things, themselves and the present. To hell with other people and the future, the single pot stops the car!
