$10 at the stores around me. My dad has one and I'm going to use it if I can't find any faults in the vacuum line. He lives about 30 min away, so I don't want to head that way until I got to.
You may not find an OBDII port, and if do not, then you can make a code reader with a paper clip. I'm sure the procedure and codes are on line.
The pages should tell you how to run a Key Off Engine Off (KOEO) test as well as a Key On Engine Running (KOER) test- those run through all of the sensors and actuators to find faults.

Yep. It has an OBDI and I found a copy here. I'll use that in a pinch, but I'll get the proper tool. Should make it easier. I think I can get her passed inspection on Wednesday.

eh... It could give you easier data if you have one that gives you descriptions. But if you get the code reader that just beeps at you, then the wire will be just as fast and just as informative.
It's been a while since I hooked up my Star Tester to an OBDI car, so I can't remember what the out put is.
Still- run the KOEO and KOER tests- they may find something.
Still hadn't bothered to get the codes read, but today I did take the distributor cap off. Found a little something inside. A part of the lip of the distributor cracked off and fell inside disturbing my timing. When I get down, she boogies, but still is lacking some lower end power. I think this may have damaged my distributor and it might be time for a new one. I will be checking the codes before dropping any more cash. On the bright side, she isn't holding back like she was before. 
Let me go back through the thread and whoever told me that my distributor had some plastic lodged in it will get a free case of beer.
