Need Info on an older model Nissan. I have a '87 Sentra XE with a E16i motor. In the process of a rebuild I found the head is cracked and I have found a possible replacement on-line. Question is a 1983 E16 cylinder head compatible to my 1987 motor?

Thanks for the reply. so far I have gotten several different answers to this question from local mechanics/auto parts stores.

A reference book I use for these matters, says that the engine is the same from an '83 to an '87. In '88 Sentras changed fuel delivery systems from carb to fuel injection on that engine.
