To anyone listening...
Please buy as many Acura TSX wagons as possible. I think I have decided that I want one and I need you all to buy them today, new, so that they will be plentiful (and hopefully cheap) when I actually get around to buying one used.
we've had ours on the lot now for almost 2 months..... no one seems interested. MAybe because it's heavy, underpowered and only available with an auto?

Yes, I like your way of thinking.
Please continue to tell Acura that if they were faster and had a manual trans they would sell better!!!
While at it, tell them that $35k is too expensive.

Me, too! I really like them and I"m not really interested in how sporty they are not. And please hurry everyone, my '97 Volvo wagon with 230k miles on it is getting long in the tooth. I think this is a nice replacement.

I tell my rep everytime he's in here. THey don't seem to be listening though. Maybe it's the way I am saying it. I guess factory reps don't like to hear "Wuit making this crap and build something we WANT."
Hmmmm...no
Instead, lets let the TSX wagon die into abscurity while the CTS-V sells millions.

In may ways, I sort of expect the TSX wagon to be a repeat of the Lexus Sportcross. A low volume seller that never depreciates enough quickly enough.

While you're at it, tell Acura that their "design language" is the worst of any manufacturer right now.

The Jag X-type wagon was a neat and tidy package. It was just the Jag part that scares people away. I did not realize only 1,602 units in a 4 year model run. Those are some low production numbers. I have seen more than one in person.

It surprised me too. I see them relatively frequently. But it makes sense; the reason that you see more of these than you see Ferrari's, Bentley's, Astons, etc. even though they have more out there is that the true exotics are in storage for all but 12 days of the year. I'd expect that almost every single one of the Jags is a daily driver.

It is a Jaguar so daily driver may not be the right term.

DING!!!!
Sometimes you really have to wonder where product planners are looking for their data.
Wagons by nature are niche-cars these days, typically bought by anti-SUV-type people. These folks also tend to be enthusiasts. Enthusiasts usually like to shift themselves.
When I first saw this car a couple of weeks ago in a daily AW e-news letter, I was first excited and then my heart sank a bit when I saw, "auto only".

I think they are still hung in the 1950's where wagons were the version you bought for your wife to tote the kids around in while you bought the sedan or coupe version for yourself.
Certainly, your 1950's wife does not want to be bothered with shifting for herself.

^ME!
only the enthusiast, a very (very) small percentage of the market, would want a manual transmission wagon. most people looking for a wagon don't want to be bothered with shifting. I was surprised when we actually were able to find a manual outback in the color we wanted back in 2002. The sad part is most of us would be willing to wait for the car to be built the way we want it, most mfgs just wont do that any more, they think they know what the general public wants.

What dealership? I'll stop in if I'm in the area sometime.
Damn. So disappointed that it is auto only! There is some serious disconnect between that fact and the current ad that features one drifting around.
Ian F, interesting profile of wagon drivers. We've got two manual transmission wagons in the garage. Not that we're anti SUV, but the wagons are capable of 95% of what an SUV could do, and since we don't have anything to tow and don't do any serious off roading, we don't need that 5% at the moment.
Honduh, are you listening? Will we see an Accord version with a stick?

90%, Scooby Roos can't tow. BTW, let me know if you ever plan on selling either of the legacy's. If I'm out of college by then (1.5 years), there is a good chance I'd be interested.

I agree with you dude, but what does the type of transmission have to do with a FWD car drifting around?
What surprises me about the TSX Wagon is why they came out with them in the 1st place when the Accord wagon had dismal sales front the start. Why would you come out with a car that is basically the same that has poor sales?
From I hear dealerships cannot get rid of the Accord Wagons.

They have an Accord Wagon? That is newer than 1995ish?

So they are too expensive and not boring enough for the "typical" wagon buyer and not fun and exciting enough for the typical enthusiast. Great marketing position to be in Acura,

Is that referring to that awful "sportcross" (or whatever they call it) crossover thing they make?
