So my mechanic, a person well known in the past in the SCCA, has designed a new little goodies for my car. He hand made a front air dam styled after the air dams from the 70s/80s. I picked up the car this morning and I have to say that it looks great. Really follows the lines of the car nicely.
I also had some wheels that have been waiting for the return and I put them on when I got the car home. They are Carroll Shelby wheels (13x5.5) with Sumitomo tires (175/50-13).
Thanks for looking and I hope you guys like.

Sweetness....I'm liking that a lot.
A couple of things: fix the drivers side front bumper cap....and get a hula girl for the dash...
Sweet car!
Is Adam Malley the mechanic?
Thank you, Dave.
Thank you, too, JFX. As for the bumper cap, this is a work in progress still, so believe me, I know the eyesores, lolol. And I'll check into the hula girl, lolol.
Thank you, old saw. And good call on the mechanic. How'd you know?

Adam is THE man with Civic uber-credentials!
Years ago, I met him when he was a shop-tech at Conyers Honda and he was always my specified tech when my CRX needed attention.
I also like to think I had a littled bit of influence in getting him to start considering the SCCA in lieu of street antics!
WOW! I appreciate all the great words, everyone. Thank you very much.
JFX001, I hear that a lot, lolol. Keep it as is. My last thing is to put the final paint on top of it. I want to keep it the factory Honda blue. Thanks, man.

Awesome, man. I actually bought this car from Adam back in 2006. He put in the Accord engine and here I am now. Funny thing is I bought a 1200 frm him back in 1990 when he was still at Conyers Honda.
Yeah, the car looks awesome. I first met Adam when autocrossing with Atlanta Region a million years ago. (Okay, more like 17 years ago.) Tell him GRM says hi.
I almost want to see that with out the bumper. That is SLICK
Oh man, that's nice! I had a '73 1200 20-some years ago, that was a blast.
Thanks, folks, for the compliments. I have but 6 more months and this car will be complete. I know it will (should) be at The Mitty next year.
That is just plain COOL !!!!!!!
Wow, talk about flashback! My older brother had a 77 5-speed with bright red paint and a white vinyl top (I don't understand it either, but it came that way). He loved that car, though he hit 3rd a couple of times when trying to reach 5th and eventually got rid of the car after he lunched the headgasket (and didn't have the head checked so he lost two gaskets in short order before he gave up)
Surprisingly roomy in the front and with the hatchback, it hauled a respectable amount of stuff and was kinda quick. Sort of a JDM Mini.
Keep us up to date and most of all have fun with it!
In reply to qdseeker:
That's really cool. Can you provide details of how he made it?
I hope you aren't going to paint it - It looks great the way it is.

Adam rocks. 1997 H-Production National Champ:
IIRC, they moved the Civic from H to G because he & it were so quick, and he responded by winning another one.

I openly hate Hondas. With a passion. What you have there sir, is art. I love it.
