Sounds strange to me, unless it is because of it being rear brakes. Every time I have put my car on the dyno the ABS light is on afterwards until I drive it a couple hundred feet. But never the airbag light.
Glad you got it fixed. I know numerous folks who have forgotten, lost, or broken those tone rings.
