In an effort to always improve our $20XX Challenge events, we have asked Al Unser Jr. to come in and be a celebrity judge at our $2015 Challenge, to be held the third weekend in October at Gainesville Raceway.
Naturally, he quickly accepted, as he wanted to see how some of the best, and cheapest race cars in the world are put together.
This should be fun!
That might change my theme...
checks date well its not April 1st.
Nope, this is the real deal. We will have a more formal announcement shortly, but always try to give you guys the inside scoop first.
Regardless of the issues he's struggled with, the guy is an absolute legend of motorsports. This is a good get for our favorite magazine.
Title date says my one year old son would be an old man by the time Al Unser the fifth judges it.
Crewed for him at Nazereth once. Much of his crew were injured by a methanol fire. My brother in law was working for his team at the time. I was there just about ready to enjoy my first adult beverage of the event, when my phone rang asking if I could help. Thought he was joking at first. Nice guy.
cool indeed!

excited. the biggest part of summer growing up in cleveland was the CART/IndyCar grand prix. my dad and i used to go downtown and watch both days of racing every year. still have all my old posters and programs put away.
I think it's cool he's part of this. I grew up watching a lot of Indy...and attending a lot of 500's back in Als day.
