This morning Hoosier Racing Tire revealed its latest 200tw offering, the TrackAttack Pro. The company says it was “engineered for track dominance and street performance with Hoosier racing DNA.”
However, what does that mean? How will it perform on track as well as on the road? Is it a …

I didn't see this on the horizon. Checks sizes... Definitely nothing remotely close to 205-50r15 😂
Gonna have to test these with the McLaren instead of the Miata!
Good stuff. Can't wait for feedback after testing. Looks like they'll be in 275/295 sizes so they'll work great on my CT4-V Blackwing.
Checking in...just landed and on my way to the track.
This tire has been on our radar since the Spring and it's finally time to experience it. Can't wait!

It looks like there will be a 205/50/15 in Q4 2024. And a 225/45/15 Q4 2025!
Is this really a 5/32 starting tread depth?

I doubt it, most likely 7/32 like most other Super 200s. I'm really interested in how these tires perform, right now in the market for a 295 and these are almost $70 more a tire then the Stones. So I'm wondering where these will land.

I'm seeing a of the youtube guys on site saying that it's a 5/32 tread depth. Which I agree sounds weird.
John Hunter front and center lol
I'm not that good a driver, so I'm holding out for the TrackAttack Amatuer.

TrackAttack Semi-Pro? TrackAttack Money Driver?
In reply to RadBarchetta :
I'll be interested when they offer the mid-pack Larry version.
But seriously a 200TW hoosier has been a joke for at least a decade. Now what are we going to do for April Fools?

Can someone confirm if that makes it illegal for Gridlife, or SCCA TT?
*EDIT* If it truly is 5/32nd's then it is NOT legal for SCCA TT per the current rules:

Definitely more to come from Andy as he’s checking out the tire right now.

Hmmm pretty sure they won't be in the 185/60-13 size I need for the Datsun. Guess I will still be running in Unlimited. LOL

That's what I'm saying, and the scca time trial director is there too. That's wild. But I'm seeing 5/32 everywhere from all the influencers on site.

I wonder how long this would last as an endurance tire...
This sounds like it might be a more premium variant of the Continental ECF, which came from trying to add some longevity and street manners to a Hoosier R7 after Continental bought them out...
Hopeful it's one of the few "semi endurance" 200tw or lower tires. I'm still on Toyo RR's, there's a bunch of TT-focused tires but not a ton of tires IMO for 20-30 minute sprint races. Tried the Toyo R last weekend and corded them in one weekend, the RR's at least last 1.5-2.5 weekends depending on track conditions.

Why weird? Maybe they are just offering the tire at an "already shaved" depth?
Fingers crossed for more sizes, but that said it really does seem like a track-focused tire that can be driven too/from the track rather than a street tire with track intentions.

ITT everyone learns/remembers that scca is the only organization with the 7/32 tread depth requirement.
It might not be a one lap wonder, but being a true endurance tire would make it a direct competitor for the Conti ecf which would be stepping on their parent company's toes. By their own admission the wear is slightly worse than the R7.
They have th4 C5 & C6 market covered with those sizes, wondering if they are going to make a play for the Spec Corvette class?
