Not with that attitude.
You could always put a dirt bike engine and kart axle on an old mower. Probably way more dangerous than an actual bike but nobody will suspect it until you start popping wheelies.
And here's my board. I put it together right about 30 years ago and still have it--and, yes, it's been autographed by the band members. 
I have no idea what compelled me to cut up the grip tape like that, but I remember sitting on the steps while doing it. Now the board sits in my office--with a lot of my "stuff."

I only read the first two pages. Sorry if I'm an echo. I'd get a kart. You can wrench on it so it's a project. It's a car in that it has 4 wheels and an engine. It can't be driven on the street so your parents will be thrilled about that. It can be driven hard in a safe, competitive environment like autocross or kart tracks. Before the Rolex 24 I asked 3 of Mazda's prototype drivers, plus an MX-5 Cup driver how they got started in racing. All 3 of the prototype drivers raced karts as kids/teens. The MX-5 Cup driver won his chance with Mazda through an iRacing competition.

Right now I have a 21-speed mountain bike that has served both me well. However, yesterday the whole drivetrain decided to grenade itself. I fixed well enough so I can ride it, but I can no longer shift into the highest gear. I like the idea of a fixer, but I live in a hilly area so the prospect of having only one gear already makes my legs hurt. Any ideas?
