Buddy of mine just bought one. Blue/white stripe, black leather, all the bells and whistles, V6. It ain't my kettle of fish but it ain't my car. He thinks it's fanstastic and that's all that matters, really. Yeah, it's freaking huge, and with the V6 it ain't no musclecar, but verrily it doth drip with attitude. He's been driving a totally clapped out Honda and spent a month on a business trip driving a fancy new rental and when he got back, his decided he'd had enough of his old POS and bought this thing. I told him to include it in his expense account report, tell his boss that it was bought as a direct result of that trip but he thinks they might not go for it for some reason...

Kind of. Most believe the 4 original cars were returned to Mopar and disposed of. I don't consider the awful remake of VP to be worth discussing. My car was used in the AudioSlave video, "Show Me How To Live". Also in the Edmunds comparo between the old and new cars. We retraced the route of VP for that story. It was also offered a spot in the latest Fast&Furious movie-of course, I refused when i realized how awful it would be. Recently, I visited with the director of VP, Richard Sarafin. We talked for a bit and I ended up giving him a ride. First time he'd seen the "Kowalski" ride in decades-pretty moving. All filmed and should have more VP stuff soon. My collection of signatures on the inside of the trunk lid continues to grow. My car has quite a bit more power than a stock RT(Indy built BB) and a Keisler conversion. I think Kowalski would have approved as he states in the flick, "She's souped up to do over 160".

thanks. BTW, since youv'e got P71 in your sig you might appreciate one of the latest additions. An very rare CHP spec, '69 Polara. Two fender tags, honking 440 and considered the fastest cop car built for decades. 150+mph. Needs a resto, but, we've already got her running strong.
