Yes I know that this is a little late, but I did want to bring this up. As a died in the wool hot rodder and a challenge participant. I went to Amelia Island to see how the other half lives. I even wore my challenge t shirt since there had been some comments that we as a group do not go to 'those' type of events. We really should, it makes you appreciate not only what was done in the past but can give you some ideas for what can be done in the future. I also was stopped by our fearless leader near the GT 40's grinning like a chessire cat wondering if he was bringing something back with him. At Sebring I ran into his son at the GRM booth and asked if he brought something back, he said no, but maybe there was something in the works? Anyway had a great time and looking forward to doing it again.

I was there: http://www.autotraderclassics.com/car-article/Report%3A+2013+Amelia+Island+Concours+d%27Elegance-204928.xhtml

I spent some time talking with Tim about our wonderful automotive world. I spoke with the always wonderful Margie and apologized profusely for being a weirdo on the message boards. I couldn't quite apologize for the rest of you freaks though, you are on your own and at the mercy of the patio.

The Amelia Island Concours is a fantastic event. Where else can you see priceless cars drive down the road, test drive a Porsche, and meet people like Jame Glickenhaus.
