An FB RX-7 with an FC front subframe, STI struts, EJ22 engine, and a Celica transmission:

IIRC this project was borne out of having a Subaru-to-W58 bellhousing and needing something to do with it

Yes, there is.
..
Oh, you wanted it?
I believe the sickness starts here, and there are three or four followup threads that he started.
Those solid torque straps seem like frame damage waiting to happen. Better to use a shock absorber, or at least have some bushings at the ends.
Turbos are for trucks. This is a car, not a truck.
I've never ever had a problem with using a chain as a torque strap.

WHAAAAAAT? No way. Turbo's are for Awesome, and this car is truely awesome.

nope, thats how you keep it from yanking the motor off its mounts when you drop the clutch.

And bicycles are for fish and water is for starting fires and hair is for eating and light is too dark for me to read and dogs don't like bacon and why are we making nonsense statements again?
Why is something that makes a vehicle faster only good for trucks? Not that there's anything wrong with trucks, but a turbo is good for any vehicle that wants power. If you don't like power, fine, but don't be dumb.
Hrmmm.... (me looks at garage)
4 cars. 1 truck.
2 of 4 cars are turbo. 1 of 4 is soon to be turbo.
Truck has no turbo.
GUYS AM I DOING IT RIGHT??
Oh and how I loved my 91 GMC Syclone, turbo and all. A tossup in the funnest ever category between a powerbrake launch and matting the throttle in the middle of a corner.
dont forget the toyota 4 runner rear axle.
yes I am the odd duck that has made this what it is. its been about 2 years to get to this point, but I'm excited to start driving it.
if you want to see the whole build thread here it is
if you have any questions, feel free to ask.
no please, do it, I have been locked away in a garage for the last 2 years building it, i want people to see it, I'm damn proud of my cluster eff of a project. I just started a readers ride for it and will update it more when I get a chance.
I hope people like it
Oh and to totally nerd out I have been calling it a Mazdaru BR-7. Seems kind of fitting.
Funning how when I started this the BRZ was maybe coming, maybe not, who knew. But cant beat the cost difference,
BRZ=$25000ish my car=under $3000
Clearly it helps to have a welder and some metal skills, and a warped sense of how things should be.
Love the rx7, not a fan of the motor, love Subaru but heavy awd cars. Smash them together and here you go.
