Downtown- mostly Main Street, but also down some of the sides- Liberty and Washington, but also had part of 4th in the past.
Totally worthwhile show. Fun mix of traditional badass, obscure classics and odd eco-modder electric conversions.

i have an early 5-series with bbs mesh wheels, but it's not plasti-dipped and i don't have a roof rack with a fixie atop. will i still be welcome in ann arbor?

Absolutely. This is a no rules car show. Wait 'til you see the Subie with a gazillion little plastic animals glued all over it. It'll probably be sitting right next to a 1930s Packard, or a Lambo. Anything goes.
