Not a bad looking car. Wrong coast and wrong time though.

Anything on a Porsche that say "few oil leaks" makes me say RUN!

Wow, my friend/dentist has an identical car to this one, except he had some minor rust issues to deal with & I'm pretty sure he paid about $10k for his a couple years ago.

Great, I'd been saving up for a reliable daily driver and you just had to post that, didn't you?

First one looks ok - big thing there is if the chain tensioner upgrade has been done and a popoff valve for the intake/airbox. Little oil leaks on a 911 is not a big deal - most of them will mark their territory. Second one - 74/75 engines seem to have a shorter lifespan than earlier or later cars though.

Found a 85 928S that seems like a steal:

140K miles, but on the upside, it's a 5 speed.

do we need to add 911 to the GRM trifecta? making a quadfecta?

Enough already with these 911 threads! :P

Methinks that GRM should visit the land off 6 cyl. a$$-engined, air cooled cars more often. In a depressed economy they are becoming bargain supercars.

That 912 is cheap!

Only, I think I'd feel a bit short-changed with a 912, like I should've just forked out for the "proper" engine.

If it makes you feel any better, a good friend once called the 912 the ultimate 356. And don't forget, we had the 930 in our recent budget supercar piece. (Are we psychic or what?) Yes, there are some great deals out there right now.

You guys really aren't helping me here. It so bad I stopped to take a look at a red targa that's been parked along the road for-sale for the last few weeks. Fortunately, between the craptastic respray, whale tail that was a different shade of red, oil all over the bottom of the engine, the lack of a posted price & "bras" on both rear-view mirrors(???) I ran away screaming with my tail between my legs....

Mirror bras shouldn't really be a deal breaker. For some reason 911 mirrors get chipped pretty easily.

I looked at a 911 two weeks ago that had mirror bras. I hadn't seen them in 20 years.
