Anybody see anything wrong with this hitch?

PO though this would hold a hitch mounted winch as well...

I might trust it to hold a bicycle rack with this on it:

It was bending quite badly under the weight of a hitch haul basket.

I would be leery of using it as a step, let alone a hitch (assuming no hidden bracing underneath).

People are impressive...

The installer of that hitch did not finish welding his tool box shut!

Hey. At least the welds appear to be too hot and terribly undercut stick welds instead of cold Harbor Freight flux core pigeon E36 M3 like all the homemade trailers around here.

I am just as worried about the integration with the frame. Those could be awesome welds but throw a 12k lbs wrench on that, do one pull, and you will have Indiana Jeep (I assume) cracking his steel whip.

And here I thought that there wouldn't be anything as sketchy as this.

My first Subaru arrived with a hitch. It was screwed into the plastic rear bumper with two lag screws. I have no idea what you could have actually attached to it without failure.

A great bending moment is the first thing that crossed my mind.

I wouldn't trust it for one of these.
