Anyone available for a PPI in Rhode Island?

I'm eyeballing a 2005 GTO in Johnston, RI for a potential purchase. It's just outside Providence, near as I can see. Are there any locals around there who would be willing to have a look at it for me? You will be compensated for your time and trouble, of course.

I live in South-eastern MA, not far from RI. Don't know a thing about GTO's, but I would be willing to have a look if you can't find anyone else that is closer. Cough-Gamby-cough! Or more qualified.

Todd lives in South Eastern MA. and has family in Rhode Island, he's down there all the time for work and pleasure. He may well pop up here and chime in. If not, post a thread titled, "Why I HATE TR8s !" and he'll surely stick his little head up. When he does, throw a rope around his neck and you'll have him ! ! !

Ask nicely and be sure to make it on his own time and I'll betcha that he and Charlie will check it out for you. He knows EVERYTHING and Charlie THINKS that he does, so one way or the other, you're bound to get a full report on the Goat.

Luck ! I wish that I had the coin to be looking for a nice GTO right now. Essentially I'm filling jars with nickles and hoping that they'll mate and produce a bunch of pennies. It's just that bad . . .

Come on now ! You probably get pissed off at me every other week for no real reason other than because you volunteer to do work for someone else and I'm the only true friend that you have who will let you complain and abuse me and doesn't ask for anything favors in return.

Is this a private sale or a dealer?I ask because I will be working in Providence Saturday night, and could go a bit early to have a look if the vehicle can be viewed late at night. I know not the best way to inspect, but if it were in a garage I could look it over pretty well.

Thanks for the offer. Actually, I've decided to go ahead and pay a local dealership to do it. They go through all the mechanical systems, fluids, belts, hoses, tires, electronics, etc. Probably more thorough than a typical enthusiast taking a look could do, and I get a written report when they are done.
