More specifically LeCar parts. We're having a hard time finding specific parts. Rock Auto is no avail and everything on eBay is overseas with no one willing to ship to the US.
Anyone have any leads?

Take the wife on a trip to Paris? Wait for Renault to come back to North America? Find the Renault dealer directory for Mexico, and dial numbers until you find someone who speaks English? Google up a parts manual so you can know the part numbers you are looking for, then email it to every Renault dealer in the English speaking world until you find someone that will ship to you?
Crush the R5 and buy a Fiat?

There are foreign companies who will ship to this side of the pond listed.
If you do find a US source that is good let me know. My dealings with the rear engine Renault suppliers in the USA has been less than acceptable. "Master cylinder for an R10? That is one of those fancy dual circuit ones. You need to swap over to the older single circuit system and I will only charge you $400 for the M/C". " Does it come with the line adapters?" "Nope those are extra" "But that part is only $75 shipped from europe" "If you don't like it you can shop elsewhere!" and he hung up on me.
http://global.ebay.com is where I end up for most of my "can't get creatively repurposed" Fiat/vespa/renault stuff. Luckily R5's were very popular all over the world and made for a good long time so it shouldn't be too tough. Australia, The Netherlands and Thailand are very good about shipping here.
Good luck with the R5! There needs to be more of them on the road here. Very cool cars that need to be saved.
They sold a decent number of these in Quebec, Canada. I'd suspect they are all gone these days but some of the wreaking yards there might still have stock.
Is there anyone on this board living in Mexico that could order from local dealers and ship to the USA ?
What parts do you need?
register over at retrorides.proboards.com, introduce yourself and post some WTB threads in the classifieds. The UK cars are RHD obviously so headlights and whatnot are out but mechanicals should do. That forum has a large european contingent so there will be people from all over the world chiming in.
You'll need to log in to post.
