Wow the interior in that is much nicer looking than any Crown Victoria I've ever seen, nice find!

Yours is really stunning. The difference between a good one and a beater is obvious :) I keep finding more that was wrong with the one I bought, mostly cosmetic, but it affirms my feeling you would not have been happy with it. I'll make a good driver out of it but it will never be a perfect example. It was also a smokers car and I know that put it off your list immediately.

Do some research on good covers. You will be risking scratching that beautiful paint every time you use it unless you wash the car before each time.

Thanks! Good tip on the cover. I guess some materials are better than others?

It's gotta go back to the dealer tomorrow, it seems like during detailing when they cleaned the engine they did it too much and now either the power steering pump or water pump has a terrible squeaking sound and seems like it needs some greasing. Doesn't feel like anythings off because the steering is beautiful on the car, no amounf of float that I read about Crown Vics, I turn the wheel and the car goes. I sort of regret selling all my tools and equipment because I could do this myself, but no place to put that stuff in a small apartment :P

Yeah, I can't say what is a good cover and what is not only that you'll get what you pay for and the majority of covers, especially cheap ones are just scratch factories.

Think I found the oddness in my steering tonite. Got about 1/4 to 1/2 inch of play in the drivers outer tie rod...yeah, that will do it. The steering is very responsive but on the highway it had a bit of wander so I'm hoping that will solve it. The rest of the system seems tight. Picked up new pads and rotors tonite, this one was loooong overdue for brakes. Ahhh, the joys of buying at the bottom of the barrel.

I think I would probably go insane without my tools. I spent a week in FL working on some houses I own and had to rely on my buddies tools all week. By the end of the week he had a new set of screwdrivers, some new vice grips, a tile wet saw and a new miter saw (the widowmaker he called a miter saw scared the crap outta me) I had to have some good tools.

I have used California Car Covers on a number of my vehicles both the indoor and outdoor covers.. Not cheap but have held up very well for me.

Thought this was cool. Along with all the crazy maintenance records, the dude also kept the brochures he was given. This page would have helped a lot when I was car shopping, although I betcha it's posted online somewhere already.

Nice, sounds like with a few fixes the car should be driving good. Leave my tools and garage in Florida to come up here to Raleigh was a mistake, alas but no place to store them. I'll be moving up to a place with a garage eventually.

Awesome, I came across those during my search. Looks like I'll have to save a big before I get it.

I always try to snag them before they clean the engine.

If its a OEM belt, they squeak a lot. Replace it with a Gatorback belt for almost silent operation.

Yea, I should have asked them not to do it :( That's what my guess is, the OEM belt got it with some sort of cleaning agency.
