After losing two wheels off the trailer (recovering one slightly oval), I'm searching craigslist for 14" 4x100 wheels that fit the MR2. I know from two different charts online there's plenty of compatible wheels that can fit.
This listing looks promising, 7 OEM VW 7 spoke wheels, a few with tires and a few without. One has the drum still attached to the back due to a locking lugnut and he was at the junkyard, and just said screw it - take the whole thing.
The chart says these would be 57.1 center, vs my 54.1, which doesn't sound terrible. I'm not sure how heavy these things are, guessing they are not light.
I'm still searching but he said he'd take $100 for all. What say the more learned's out there?

Shame you don't want 15's. MINI Cooper wheels will fit, some of the 15's are pretty light, and they're dirt cheap on CL.

I have two 14's already mounted, and four 14" rally tires unmounted that I will mount the two best in the pile. Otherwise I'd consider 15's.

Also, obviously the 57 bore will fit over the 54, but i half suspect that's too little clearance to get a cheap plastic hub centric ring. May not be an issue for you but they're a nice thing to have for the ~$20 they cost.

$100 for 7 wheels is good. there is absolutely no need for hubcentric rings for rallycross. I don't even use them on my street tires and have had no problems over the 6 or 7 years I have been running them on miatas.

I was thinking the same thing, on both counts. I know the Scion has rings right now, but we're talking 3mm diameter difference, 1.5mm radius. Big whoop. Also 7 almost anything's for $100 sounds good. Also looking at this one, two for $50: EDIT- it says $50 each, never mind
Honda wheels
Once you see the 7 penises....peni you can never unsee them.

my street wheels have a hub bore of 72mm and the miata is 54. you just have to tighten the lugs so they center the wheel before putting weight on them and there are no issues.
What width wheel are you looking for?
I have 4 stock mr2 wheels from an mk1 I parted years ago. I think they have rubber on them but dont really remember. You intrested? Shipping will cost more than they are probibly worth but they are taking up space in my barn that could be used for p car parts.
I looked on your behalf and these are what I would choose.

Set of 4 Borbet 14" rims. Used to be on the girlfriends 95 Miata. The tires are pretty worn but the rims are fine. Would make a great set for SCCA racing weekends or just a inexpensive upgrade to your current factory set. Ill try to answer any questions as promptly as possible, thanks.
Asking $80
Used to be on a Miata means they will fit.

I would also like to know more about the rims in this listing.
It just says "4 stock wheels..." but those 4 American Racing rims are not "stock". I do on the other hand hope they are stock size of 14". I think it may be worth writing to the seller about.

Yeah, as long as you do it right you will never have real issues. The rings just make it so you never have to slow down or think or be cautious.
Hit up psteav on here. He has some kosei 14s that might be for sale.

I would love stock MR2 wheels, but the shipping and price together is probably way more than I want to pay (unless together they are less than $100).

Well the wheels I have left say "6Jx14H2" - does that equal 14" x 6? (They were donated by a VW friend)

Perfect end to a Monday.

Jerry; these Borbet type C are very light and strong. $80 is an absolute steal for them too!

I never realized those were so light. Almost as light as stock junkyard Chrysler Imperial wheels.
