Just because you can't afford a late model 911, Lotus, Corvette, etc, doesn't mean they're not gorgeous or worth paying attention to.
I loved the look of my ol' 2017 Mustang GT, and every single time I drive my 911 (991 PDK) it put's a smile on my face. And I turn around when walking away, to catch a glance at it's sublime looks...
I also like driving my '72 Mercedes SL, MG TD & Triumph GT6, but none of those cars are remotely as nice to drive as the 911.
And people finally stopped talking about the 60's. For a long time it didn't matter how fast a new car was, there was always some dude saying "...yeah but a Boss 426 Magnum back when I got home from 'Nam...". Where those people finally convinced of modern car superiority or did they just all finally die?

Its simply sublime as a STOCK car. Having done a few laps in a small track outside Las Vegas Motor Speedway, I came away in disbelief. The level of effortless pinpoint performance is stunning. In a drive at another track a Lamborghini was a pig and a Ferrari 430 was oh so sweet and also accurate. But the 911 GT3 was clearly at another level. Golden Age of Performance Cars? Absolutely!
