Are You Coming to the Grassroots Motorsports $2014 Challenge?

Calling all Challengers! Thanks to all who have entered this year's Challenge, and you know who you are. Who has not entered yet that is planning on coming to our super fun event on October 24-25 at Auto Plus Raceway in Gainesville, FL? Need some reasons to attend?

Here's a few.

How about hanging out with the staff at GRM. What about the last chance to pick up the $2000 Challenge logo shirt in its current form (hint, next year's logo will change). How about a bunch of cool competitors and cars. What about drag racing under the lights on Friday night after being stuffed full of Sonny's BBQ for dinner. What about a concours on Saturday with cool judges and time to hang out and check out each other's rides. Then there is the awards ceremony back at the hotel on Saturday evening where we will had out the hardware (trophies that is) at a full sit down dinner and be entertained by your host JG Pasterjak!

What if your excuse is "I don't have enough time to build a Challenge car", then check out our new Last Chance Challenger class. Pick up a car on the cheap off of eBay Motors, in a barn, or along side the road and enter it in the class and have the chance to win a trophy and some cash! $2014 Challenge rules still apply.

Rick, will we be able to buy a ticket to the BBQ/banquet like I did last year, even though we're only coming down as spectators?

How many cars are signed up so far?

What is the cutoff for the last minute challenger class? Is it the week of the challenge, two weeks before, 25 days?

Such good questions. Rick will have official answers first thing in the morning. I could make up answers but, well, they should come from the guy in charge.

Not really, just friends with a couple of the guys that will have cars there, just like last year.

I actually meant when can one purchase a car and have it be eligible for th last minute challenger class? Could a car be purchased today or does it need to be closer to th event ie the 21st?

Two weeks out would make for an interesting story and still give you time to complete the transaction.
